The Implementation Manager is responsible for leading an Integrated Project Team for implementing complex value-added business for new clients and additional services to current clients. You have overall responsibility for the end-to-end management of the implementation process and key deliverables for both the client and SCS. You will serve as the liaison between the client and SCS, as well as interacts directly with the client and SCS; operations, sales/account management, technology, finance, and other internal business units. You'll own the strategic on-boarding process including managing timelines, projects, stakeholder alignment, and expectation setting across internal and external teams. The role requires fast and efficient client on-boarding to ensure the accurate and timely implementation of these value-added services. Your responsibilities are to plan a schedule for implementation, define goals, and track progress towards those goals. Other duties include staying within budget, sticking to pre-planned time frames, and managing the Integrated Project Team. Our perfect candidate is Client focused, has a Logistics experience, experience in working with Sales and Operations, and has or is working toward a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure we deliver on the promise made at the point of sale. Ability to translate value proposition and KPI's into a successful implementation.
  • Lead and manage project management for new account implementations using project management methodology to on-board new accounts and services within the established service level expectations, which ultimately leads to client satisfaction and cost benefits to SCS.
  • Owns client and internal meetings and facilitates discussions. Engages in clear, effective communication to establish responsibilities and internal due dates for all business partners on each implementation.
  • Manages the gathering of critical information with the clients and SCS teams and negotiates and resolves all issues relative to the overall implementation process and timing of deliverables.
  • Engage Sales, Solutions, and Operations to validate new business scope as it pertains to customer contract documents, operational requirements, technology specifications, and value propositions to ensure clear execution of the contracted scope of work.
  • Client centric approach to implementation.
  • Standardize implementation methodologies and find opportunities to improve.
  • Simplify the client's experience of implementing a new solution or transitioning from an existing provider.
  • Provide reports and statistics related to team performance and accomplishments.
  • Provide mentorship and development feedback to team members.
  • Risk mitigation: Identify and communicate issues that surface during the implementation process and solve or coordinate the resolution.
  • Professionally document and communicate project meetings and deadlines.
  • Ensure smooth transition to operations post go-live and ramp-up.
  • Interact directly with various client representatives, ranging from senior operations to warehouse operations and end-users.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Project team (SCS and Client) to ensure all processes are adhered to throughout the implementation process.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

  • Finance and Accounting for budgeting, billing, and P&L analytics.
  • Clients to identify business requirements and effectively communicate impact, cost, and benefits of new and changed demands.
  • Process owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
  • Information Technology to implement an on-time and within budget integration implementation.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience as project or implementation manager preferred
  • Experience and/or formal schooling in Supply Chain Management/Logistics preferred
  • Proven experience of successfully deploying client implementations
