Supplemental Health Care, a nationwide healthcare staffing provider for over 30 years, has partnered up with a public school in Denver, CO to help in their search for an Speech Language Pathologist (SLP - CCC) for the entirety of the 2019/2020 school year. Job Details: Location: Denver, CO Ages: K - 12th Setting: School, multiple campuses Length: Entire 2019/20 school year Hours: Open to Part/Full Time Start: August 2019 Pay: Up to $44 per hour The School Speech -Language Pathologist will provide and direct speech services to either elementary, middle school or high school aged children while focusing on the communication abilities of these students. The goal of the SLP-CCC help students achieve their maximum potential in learning, social, and recreational activities. General Duties of the School Speech Language Pathologist include: -Provide speech language services to those school aged children ages 5-18 to facilitate learning and development -Preparing therapy plans for each student. Implements and conducts speech-language therapy treatment to meet goals and objectives on the IEP plan. -Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to students ( when appropriate ), teaching staff, family and other specialists -Describes students’ functional speech and language skills as they relate to the ability to access the curriculum and progress in school Essential Functions of the School Speech Language Pathologist include: -Documents results of student’s assessment, treatment, follow-up, service completion, and dismissal from therapy -Aligns intervention services with the curriculum and standards ( educationally relevant) -Incorporates parents and educators into the assessment and treatment plan -Collaborates with education colleagues to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the student’s school program. - Ensures educational relevance by addressing personal, social/emotional, academic, and vocational communication needs that have an impact on attainment of educational goals The Speech Language Pathologist may then use their findings to develop therapeutic techniques for the student. Along with serving as a resource for the students the SLP - CCC may also provide help for curriculum development. If needed the Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate with the district's coordinator and team to better diagnose the student.
