Job Description: The Psychiatric Inpatient RN will provide care for patients with mental illness or addiction. The Psych Registered Nurse will assess, diagnose, administer medication, provide wound care, and manage other treatments for patients. The inpatient nurse may restrain patients physically or chemically restrain patients as necessary. The Psych RN will also need to identify risk factors, and educate or intervene as necessary. This position is ideal for RNs with high compassion, patience, and grit.
