Job Description

Job Summary:

As Manager, Marketing Automation, you will be responsible for target audience quality, content/journey strategy, and the delivery of digital marketing campaigns across the Supernus brand portfolio. You will lead the brand/agency service model and Salesforce platform driving the mapping, delivery and measurement of programmed customer journeys to a consistent high-quality standard in accordance with the brand expectations and the project briefs provided. Together as part of the Omnichannel marketing team, you will help brands identify and maximize lead generation / customer acquisition approaches and ensure they can be mapped to relationship-generating pathways either virtually or directly through to field engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

This role requires experience designing, implementing, and measuring customer relationship programs for healthcare brands.

Key areas of emphasis for this role include the following:

  • CRM Designer: Work with Supernus marketing teams to define their target audiences, campaign needs, brand/communication objectives and customer journeys to formalize as project briefs for agencies.
  • Project manager: Co-ordinate campaign development throughout the critical path, acting as an intermediary between the marketing team, CRM Lead agency, while operating within our CRM platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud) to ensure campaigns are created and executed against, within timelines and quality standards required/defined in the brief. Provide campaign materials to marketing teams ready for internal approval process. Contribute to training material and creation of technical documentation.
  • Systems expert/configuration lead: Understand deeply the business processes and procedures supported by SalesForce CRM; its end-to-end functionality; and integrations between other systems & work to maintain an expert level knowledge base through our assigned SalesForce customer success representative. Ensure the business rules of the campaigns align to objectives and SFMC capabilities & deployment settings across multiple Business Units
  • Marketeer advocate: Act as the voice of the business to drive best practice-thinking during campaign conception and development stages (e.g. ensuring list buys, brand guidelines, email/UX templates, language opt-in/out standards & CTAs) so that projects are consistently executed for quality, & efficiency. Participate in the design & review process of email messages, CTAs and templates with Creative/Build partners to ensure consistency, quality and alignment with best practices.
  • Customer advocate: Act as the voice of the customer to reconcile shared targets, contact time/frequency, content-interest-areas of the target and reinforce service expectations prescribers have of manufacturers to protect the company reputation
  • CRM Opportunist & Innovator/Educator: Provide proactive actionable recommendations such as testing opportunities, new audience targets, personalization at scale and content enhancements based on analysis of metrics and audience data. Create best practice sharing opportunities to drive the use of marketing automation tools across the business. Create brand recommendations for SMS enablement and delivery and customer connection between field & congress activities. Explore new reporting techniques that quantify customer relationship engagements & activities

Knowledge & Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Communications, Statistics/Data Science, Econometrics, Operations Research or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of overall related experience is required plus minimum of 3+ yrs. of experience in CRM development/maintenance, sales operations, data analytics and reporting.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills essential combined with demonstrated teamwork and project management orientation.
  • Prior successful experience managing one or more large-scale client engagements
  • Experience of 3rd party management and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with agencies, sales and marketing teams and multiple stakeholder groups
  • Digital-based project management experience/exposure
  • Proficiency using marketing automation technologies, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Understanding of front-end digital experiences and familiarity with API integrations (technical expertise is not required, but an understanding of the concepts)
  • Experience of the development and delivery of end-to-end integrated marketing campaigns, including user acceptance testing
  • Comfortable communicating/translating technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively and respectfully
  • Ability to work and manage using internal procedures and processes.
  • Understanding of organizational structure, operating culture and effective work styles.
  • Experience in the med-tech or pharmaceutical / healthcare industry.
  • Working knowledge of data privacy regulations/policies, email marketing best practices (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • High proficiency with tools such Excel and Access; experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Datorama a plus, experience with database design and administration tools a plus
  • Experience and knowledge of statistical models and methods, and marketing experimentation (e.g. A/B tests, multivariate content/messaging & optimization)
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization platforms such as Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Tableau, Qlik
  • Customer skills: client focused and responsive; collaborative work style; focus on results, passion for keeping up with media and technology trends
  • Communication skills:
    • Strong verbal/written/presentation; ability to layout and deliver succinct PowerPoint stories as well as structured syntheses and recommendations
    • Willingness to "have an opinion" backed up by insight and analytics and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis

Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Travel Requirements:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or carrying objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen, iPad, or other electronic device; and extensive reading
  • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
