Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for our dermatology practice.
Responsibilities:
Charge Entry
Accounts Payable
Credentialing
Post patient payments received as a result of patient statements
Post payments from insurance companies
Identify errors in payments, correct errors and resubmit for corrected payments
Send appropriate information to insurance companies
Work on aged and collection accounts
Verify that fee schedules are up to date and notify appropriate party of any errors
Stay abreast of changes implemented by various insurance carriers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience – preferably dermatology
- Knowledge of ICD and CPT codes and modifiers
- Detail Oriented
- Good communication skills
- Computer literate
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with others in a professional, collaborative and cooperating manner
- Must be able to work at both Mobile and Daphne location
