The Marketing Manager, Retail Partnerships Position Sunnova Energy is seeking a marketing specialist to manage the day-to-day operations for our growing Retail Programs. This position will work closely with our internal partners, dealer partners and vendors to create an optimal customer experience and to manage program accounting and processes. The candidate will execute new processes to manage program logistics, manage field activities and partner invoicing. The Retail Specialist will drive go-to-market tactics through experimentation, data, insights, and continuous improvement approaches. The specialist will also analyze data and drive insights from customer feedback, to inform new processes to improve the customer experience.

Marketing Manager, Retail Partnerships Responsibilities

  • Work closely with internal departments to develop strategy, automation & execution for partnerships marketing materials and customer experience
  • Manage the end-to-end customer in-store experience, including booth set-up, in-store displays, event marketing, etc.
  • Work closely with our Digital Marketing team to design and optimize the online & digital experience
  • Ensure all marketing materials follow our partners’ guidelines; manage recordkeeping of approvals from Sunnova legal, partners and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with our Manager, Retail Partnerships, and print vendor to manage and fulfill new kit requests from our dealers and in-store representatives; manage reporting for kit costs
  • Create and distribute monthly invoices and manage collection of payments
  • Work closely with Sunnova’s Accounting department regarding dealer costs and payment schedules. Provide reporting on fulfilled payments, outstanding payments, reimbursements, and program costs
  • Onboard new dealers to the Retail Program, including dealer agreements, required documents, badging, kit fulfillment, trainings, etc.
  • Lead background check/badging process for our in-store representatives, submitting new badge orders and managing the costs to dealers
  • Work with our internal IT department to resolve any inefficiencies and/or process improvements
  • Manage mystery shopping vendor, including data, reporting, and escalations
  • Prioritize the most critical gaps in providing an enjoyable customer experience; lead development of roadmap to address root-causes and redesign in-store experience and/or lead nurturing journey
  • Provide recommendations to increase sales conversion and reduce cancelations based on various data sources including sales and conversion metrics, consumer survey data, and dealer feedback
  • Review and analyze NPS survey responses to provide strategic recommendations for resolving pain points in customer experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on marketing or business.
  • 8+ years of marketing or business experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adjust to changing demands and shifting priorities 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Salesforce
  • Experience with managing invoicing and financial accounting
  • Retail experience
  • Event Marketing experience
  • Residential solar energy services experience
