Suncoast Drivers Account Manager

Suncoast Drivers is currently seeking an Account Manager to join our growing sales team. We are looking for a self-motivated and energetic individual with a sense of urgency to supplement our team for our National Accounts. Candidates must be able to call on Transportation Managers and other pertinent personnel. As an Account Manager your primary focus will be growth within your accounts. Must be experienced and aggressive to develop and maintain new and established accounts. Responsibilities include prospecting, some cold calling, setting appointments with prospects, presenting programs and meeting a sales quota.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales Management to implement Suncoast’s sales strategy, drive sales results, and increase market share; strengthening the company’s position throughout assigned markets.
  • Develop solid strategic sales plans and assess the needs of each customer.
  • Make sales presentations that demonstrate how Suncoast meets the needs of its customers and prepare bids and contracts for new business.
  • Conduct business reviews of current customers and identify new opportunities to improve service and increase sales.
  • Monitor changing market conditions and competitor activities and develop appropriate action plans in order to increase business.
  • Engage customers and prospects in forward-looking projects, identifying peak seasonal or strategic demand.
  • Report on sales activity and progress towards established goals.
  • Travel – Some Travel may be required

· Generating revenue and meeting sales targets

· Gathering and utilizing intelligence on prospects on prospects to support sales calls, product presentations and driving new business

· Maintaining good customer relations in the performance of job

· Prepares daily call reports, keeps expense records and submits paperwork in accordance with company policy and procedures

· Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into the CRM

· Investigates and resolves customer issues

· Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients

· Following up with clients on recruiter submits

· Reaching out to inactive clients and checking on any driver needs

· Reaching out to client referrals and building business from new locations


  • 1 year of sales experience, with a strong focus on account management
  • Previous outside sales experience, with emphasis on developing NEW customer relationships.
  • Assertive, results-oriented team player, with ability to be creative and think “outside the box”.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with no travel restrictions.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with Suncoast Team and Customers.
  • Solid presentation, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly pick up use of CRM systems.
  • Experience in Logistics a plus
