SunPlus Data Group is seeking a PMP Certified IT Project Manager with Retail/Point of Sales experience for a State Government facility in Richmond, VA
- This is for 12 months minimum and may extend
- Hours are M-F, 40 hrs/week excluding holidays
- Pay is $72-$80/hr
- Candidates must be able to interview IN-PERSON and LOCAL to Richmond
- It usually takes them anywhere from 1 week to 3 weeks to start interviewing
The State of VA is currently seeking a project manager with considerable knowledge of methodologies for improving organizational performance and principles of project management. Considerable skill in the use of a personal computer, utilizing spreadsheet, database,
PM should effectively manage all phases of the project including requirements gathering, budgeting, work planning and documentation/reporting.
Requirements documents should be free of substantial errors and omissions. The PM should develop and maintain an effective system to formally document and track the status of all project activities and recommendations.
The PM should bring any changes, delays, or revisions to the project plan to the requestor, manager and project sponsor’s attention for approval. The PM should display effective leadership skills and considerable independence and initiative in managing projects and actively involve stakeholders in project implementation.
The Ideal Candidate:
NOT Senior PMs or those aspiring to be PMO managers. They need a solid PM who can come in and take small IT projects and see them through completion.
There is one large project – Sales Audit. Although not required, a PM who can also handle this project who has with experience with Sales Audit reconciliation that feeds into GL would be ideal.
Excellent communications both verbally an written
Ability to absorb, understand and disseminate information
Organized and detail oriented
Active PMP certification required
Sales Audit and/or Point of Sale experience
