Statement of Purpose: Supervises and coordinates the activities of the maintenance employees in maintaining and repairing physical structures of the building, grounds and utility systems. This is a safety sensitive position.

Compensation: Hourly and eligible for overtime pay.

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Supervise all work performed by maintenance and landscape personnel on a daily basis.
• Assigns work orders to maintenance staff and ensure they are completed.
• Interprets company policies and procedures to department employees and enforces safety regulations.
• Suggests changes in the use of equipment to increase efficiency of work.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in resolving work problems.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Responsible for scheduling all time off with staff and ensuring they do not conflict with one another.
• Responsible for all work done in Resident units.
• Responsible for ordering the proper amount of supplies for the department with the approval of the department Director.
• Establish and maintain good inter-department working relationships and with residents.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Available for On-Call rotation and assist with after-hour calls.
• Establish and maintain good working relations with outside vendors.
• Able to use and maintain the following equipment: carpet cleaning; lawnmowers and hedge clippers; vacuum cleaners; and maintenance tools.
• Participate in Life Safety program to include emergency preparedness audits and surveys.
• Demonstrate the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) each and every day.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance background preferred.
• Prior facility management preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
