Job Description

Summit Reconstruction & Restoration is a rapidly growing construction company with a focus on exterior envelope rehabilitation projects. Our company is a leader in apartment and condominium rehabilitation, with many of the largest management companies in the Portland/Vancouver area.

Summit Reconstruction is currently hiring for Accountant Full Time 40 hrs (+) per week.

Overview:

The Accountant reports directly to the CFO of Summit Reconstruction & Restoration and provides critical financial support and administrative functions to ensure the business operations for management are carried out effectively and efficiently. This position will be in our Corporate Office in Tigard, OR and job hours will be approximately 7:30am 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. This is a full-time position. Salary Range: $60-65k yearly, DOE.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Bank statements and Credit card reconciliations within SAGE software. Verify all transactions on bank statement are reflected in SAGE. Review the credit card statements per employee. Follow up, track down, and question expenses.
  • AP Process - reviewing vendor invoices and preparing weekly check run. Review due dates for the vendor are accurately updated in the financial software. Accounts payable management experience required. Must feel comfortable reaching out to vendors when there is a discrepancy to quantity, item cost, or bid amount. If you have experience with retention and AP aging schedules is a plus.
  • AR Process - process receipt for bank deposit, make copies to be entered against customer account. Ability to give clear and professional communication with customers when speaking about outstanding past due balances, following up on invoicing, and processing credit card transactions through the square app. Etc.
  • Monthly audit of employee expense reports, PO's, and unapproved invoices in Sage, and following up with related project managers and vendors.
  • Reconciling financial statements and updating various financial reports.
  • Research topics and provide summaries of results to provide to the CFO or President/Owner.
  • Other tasks may be assigned by CFO and/or President/Owner

Expectations:

  • Be punctual, professional, and courteous
  • 3 - 10 years bookkeeping experience (Construction and SAGE Contractor software experience preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to prioritize tasks
  • Microsoft Excel experience required
  • Experience working with pay applications is a plus
  • Be able to sit for long periods of time
