PCB Planner- Fulltime

Summit Interconnect- Santa Clara division has an opening for three Planners (1st shift or 2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications. Our manufacturing services include quick-turn, prototype, and production through our two facilities located in Orange County, California.

Position Summary: Create and verify manufacturing documentation including work instructions and shop floor travelers. Reviews lay-ups, details and designs according to engineering and customer specifications through the use of computer and applications software. May specify required manufacturing machinery and test equipment based on manufacturing and or customer requirements. Guides manufacturing process development for all products.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the printed circuit industry with 2 years as a planner. Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required Skills:

General:

  1. Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.

  2. Must be able to perform job with little or no supervision.

  3. Must be able to cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, management and supervisory staff.

  4. Ability to effectively follow company systems and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately plan jobs and create shop floor travelers.

  2. Create documentation packages.

  3. Use Company software for planning and issuing jobs.

  4. Contact customers to resolve open issues.

  5. Create TDR calculations.

  6. Train new Planners

Authorities:

  1. Issue jobs to manufacturing.

  2. Plan jobs manufacturing process.

  3. Modify job instructions.

  4. Institute new manufacturing processes or changes.
