Summit Construction Group is in need of hiring a production assistant!
We are a new company, growing fast, we are in need of hiring an assistant to help in the office and in the field. We focus on exteriors primarily doing roofing, siding, and windows replacements.
The exact job duties are yet to be determined and things will change on the fly, ideally we will find someone that can be groomed for and eventually fill an estimator and production manager role.
You will work longer hours in the summer, 8/9am until 5,6,7,8 pm depending on how busy we are, it can be flexible, in the winter hours will be cut back as we will be less busy.
Some of the duties will include: ordering dumpsters, delivering/mailing permit photos, calling the city to close out building permits, creating and maintaining job files, data entry, assessing quality control issues, and eventually materials ordering, job scheduling and estimate writing and negotiating. We may have a position for someone running materials to job sites and or supervising job sites
Again this is just a rough idea of what we are looking for but things will be fluid and subject to change.
Computer skills are a must, candidate must be good at critical thinking and problem solving, a go-getter, disciplined- you must do what you say you will do, be accountable, we don't ever want to hear "That's not my job" or "That wasn't in my job description" (that's a quick way to get fired)
This is a fast paced environment and you will be surrounded by people that make some serious money, we do not screw around, that being said you will have a pathway to a higher job if you can perform well and help us take things to the next level.
Base salary starts at $35-40k
If you have experience as a roofing, siding, window estimator or production manager even better, we can start at a higher pay and negotiate those terms.
