What you’ll do

Reporting into the Director of Culinary Innovation, in this position you will provide essential support to Suji’s Korean Cuisine headquarters. Office Coordinator will help with all aspects of keeping the office in good running order (stock/inventory supplies, run/distribute mail and packages, printer/copier maintenance, etc.) As well as supporting the Culinary team and filling in as Executive Assistant to the Founder.  If you are looking to contribute to a fast-growing startup this is perfect opportunity.

Some of the key position responsibilities include:

●       Prepare, transport and track sample shipments to courier

●       Manage weekly inventory report of freezer and packaging flats

●       Create package mock-ups

●       Work with Director of Culinary Innovation to ensure proper ingredients available for recipe testing.

●       Receive product deliveries, assist in the organization of inventory for kitchen and R&D raw material inventory

●       Assist in daily kitchen operations and purchase ingredients for recipe testing and photoshoots.

●       Support the Founder on ad hoc projects as needed

●       Office administrative tasks such as, supplies, booking conference rooms, travel arrangements and determine cost saving opportunities

●       Managing relationships with vendors, customers and brokers

●       Event support and organization

●       Oversight of office technology and support staff with computer troubleshooting, email management, G-drive server management, online conference management

●       Keep abreast of all aspects of business to jump in when needed

●       Identify and fulfill administrative needs throughout the organization. Provide support for meetings, scheduling, mailings, and special projects.

●       Order all office supplies and branded items and monitor inventory levels.

●       Maintain condition of the entire office, including supply rooms, kitchen, work areas, and other common areas; Coordinate regular upkeep and repair of office.

●       Provide support and coordination for general office projects such as moves, employee engagement and recognition efforts, and other staff-wide initiatives and events.

●       Coordinate process for use of our facility for meetings and events, ensuring all requests are evaluated, responded to, and supported. Ensure rooms are set-up, prepared, and that day-of support is provided.

●       Ensure the highest level of customer service for visitors, volunteers, callers, and staff

●       Manage external email such as customer support and sales inboxes

●       Pick up mail and distribute mail, packages, and faxes

●       Competitive store checks – including photos of products in store

●       20 – 25 hours per week

Requirements:

●       Minimum 2 years’ experience in Office Coordinator position

●       Strong oral and written communication skills

●       Enthusiasm working with a diverse team

●       Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic work environment

●       Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

●       Proficiencies with office procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications, e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

●       Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends

●       Well organized

●       Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy

●       Valid Driver’s license, current insurance and access to a vehicle

●       Background check will be required

●       Must be authorized to work in the United States

 

Education

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Environment: This position will work in an office environment that is temperature controlled; the noise level is normally low. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and copy machines. 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit. May occasionally need to lift 25 pounds or more, and at times crouch, crawl, stoop and bend. The employee is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
