Part-time Tutor – Baltimore City Public Schools -
5.5 hours per day, M – F during daytime school hours, tutors will travel to assigned schools.
Tutoring opportunity working for the Success for All Foundation (SFAF) while working onsite at a Baltimore City, MD elementary school. At the Success for All Foundation (SFAF), we believe that every child can learn. We are seeking part-time tutors who will be working with Elementary school students. Tutors will facilitate a computer-guided program for small groups of students at a Title One school in the Baltimore City area. This job runs concurrent with school calendar; position will not need to report for work when school is not in session.
Rate of pay: $22/hr., 5 ½ hours daily totaling 27.5 hours per week during regular school hours. This position will be virtual initially and will be moved to on-site in schools once schools are in session. Tutors will report to schools daily when schools resume normal schedules. Only candidates from the Baltimore area will be considered.
This is an ideal opportunity for new college graduates, retired teachers, current educators who are looking for a part-time job, or other highly motivated professionals who like working with students. First consideration extended to elementary or early learning educators/paraprofessionals.
Successful candidates must:
• Be available to interview week of September 21 - 25
• Be available to start as early as October 1st
• Have transportation to assigned school site
• Have at least two professional written references
Bachelor’s degree or 2 year degree with relevant work experience required. Ideal candidate has a stable employment history, great work ethic, strong people skills, and has worked with students professionally or in a volunteer role. All applicants must pass required criminal background checks, including fingerprinting and possible drug screening. This position has will run from October through June and will follow the school holiday schedule.
