Welcome to the Subway Team! We are seeking responsible, energetic and professional Area General Managers for our successful Subway locations in Northwest Arkansas. There are opportunities for long range career advancement in our growing company for highly qualified and motivated candidates.

POSITION TITLE: Area General Manager

REPORTS TO: Franchisee

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for directing overall store management for multiple locations. Exceptional customer service and employee development are major components of this position. The ideal candidate will help drive excellence in the day-to-day operations and motivate their team.



  • Maintains business records as outlined in the Operations Manual. Analyzes business records to increase sales and profits and control costs. Responsible for overseeing the purchase of store supplies and food.
  • Comply with rules and procedures as described in the Subway Operations Manual
  • Set short and long term goals to meet the growth expectations
  • Recruiting, training, developing and evaluating store personnel and maintaining exceptional customer service
  • Supports local and national marketing initiatives
  • Ensures that all local & national health and food safety codes are maintained
  • Company safety and security polices are followed
  • Ensures enforcement of all company policies and procedures
  • Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales and plans special evens and promotions
  • Mentors Store Managers and Assistant Managers: developing strengths by building on their best attributes
  • Completes University of Subway courses as directed
  • Ability to manage with integrity, honesty while promoting our culture and values


  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years of successful, operational management experience in a restaurant environment. Experience in multi-unit restaurant operations a plus. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. Basic math and accounting skills and strong analytical/decision making skills are needed; demonstrated achievement in staff selection, coaching and development.
  • Position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10lbs frequently and up to 50lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule with a minimum 45 hours in a 5 day work week
  • Computer skills required
  • Knowledge of operating a point of sale system
  • Experience with Windows/PC desktop operating systems
  • Microsoft Office troubleshooting (including Outlook)
  • Basic hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Printer Networking troubleshooting
  • Mobil Device Connectivity/ Troubleshooting
  • Mac and Apple iPhone knowledge
  • Networking experience
  • Surveillance system knowledge

  • SALARY: $46,000 yearly plus bonus. Negotiable based on experience
