Job Description

The Role:

Stumar is seeking an experienced (3+ years), self-starter for the position of Investigative Analyst. S/he will be a chameleon, adapting to the unique needs of each case. S/he will be deadline-driven with the ability to problem solve on the fly. S/he will be a team player and embrace a demanding work schedule. Ongoing responsibilities will include:

  • Performing extensive internet, database, and social media background searches
  • Identify patterns and relationships across financial, criminal, public record, and other information
  • Drafting comprehensive reports in a timely and efficient manner
  • Executing investigative strategies in accordance with case assignments
  • Analyzing large volumes of information from multiple sources to identify key facts
  • Interacting with clients, counsel, and law enforcement to communicate strategy and progress updates
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Developing knowledge of best practices in investigative techniques and legal standards
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement and development of workflows/processes


  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice (or related field) or equivalent work/military experience
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in the investigation profession
  • Highest level of integrity and discretion
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Eligible to be licensed as a private investigator
  • Willingness to travel, if necessary and as public health guidelines permit
  • Tech-savvy, including command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable in any situation and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Foreign language proficiency
  • Paralegal experience
  • Applicable professional designations (e.g., licensed PI, CFE, CFI, CLI)

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
