Job Description

The Technical Writer/Business Analyst will support strategy development, planning, and execution for multiple programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in several of the following areas: strategic planning; organizational change management and communications; data analysis and reporting; writing and editing; and, meeting design and facilitation. The candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills. The candidate will create impactful deliverables (written materials, briefings, data visualization) and must be comfortable briefing leaders. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Writing, Communication, and Project Support

  • Develop high-quality, error-free communication products, including but not limited to email messages, web content, fact sheets, white papers, plans, processes, presentations, and reports.
  • Review/edit communication products and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist development of presentations and talking points for leadership briefings.
  • Provide meeting support, including meeting planning, material development (for example, process agendas and read aheads), printing, facilitation, and notetaking.
  • Assist project tracking by updating action item trackers, dashboards, and other project tools.
  • Maintain a central repository (in SharePoint or a similar tool) of project deliverables, meeting minutes, and other documents.

Business Analysis, Data Analysis, and Reporting

  • Support stakeholder interviews, analysis, and engagement.
  • Capture, analyze, and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
  • Research a variety of topics and develop narratives and visualizations using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other graphic and written formats to communicate results.
  • Collect, review, and aggregate data into spreadsheets and perform data analysis to support reporting and decision making.
  • Work closely with experienced analysts or project leaders to identify, design, document, implement, and gain buy-in for solutions and recommendations.
  • Work with team members to develop strategic plans, implementation plans, training content, process documentation, and communications.

Must be US Citizen and Clearable

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or Political Science strongly preferred
  • CBAP, Prosci, CAPM, LSS, or PMP certification is a plus.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft SharePoint is a plus. 

Experience:

Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience
