Junior Developer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join our software engineering team willing to learn and develop their career in software development. The ideal candidate will have some exposure to node.js and JavaScript and be able to work on projects ranging from small enhancements to larger, more complex projects. The candidate should be smart, bright, perceptive, reliable, and have a strong appreciation for statistics and evaluation. In addition to work as a developer, the candidate will also be responsible for providing occasional IT support to the firm, including troubleshooting, networking and hardware issues.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain legal software applications using node.js and JavaScript
• Collaborate with the development team to design and implement new features and functionality
• Provide occasional IT support to the firm, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
• Experience in configuring and maintaining software
• Familiarity with cloud-based applications and remote support tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related experience
• Strong foundation in node.js and JavaScript
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Maintain accurate records of all support tickets and ensure timely resolution of issues
• Collaborate with other members of the team to improve the efficiency of our technology systems
• Assist with the implementation of new technology solutions, including software and hardware
