ABOUT STONER PERIODONTIC & IMPLANT SPECIALISTS
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Manager to join our energetic, team-oriented practice. If you get energy from leading a team and bringing out their best while working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the clinical team (Dental Hygienists and Dental assistants) to ensure job responsibilities are completed according to practice expectations: (6-8 direct reports)
  • Oversee scheduling and efficiency of clinical team supporting multiple doctors in multiple locations to ensure all providers meet or exceed production goals
  • Ensure treatment plans, appointment plans and route slips are completed accurately and timely and system is updated accordingly
  • Ensure supplies are ordered in a timely, cost effective manner and equipment is maintained to practice standards
  • Educate staff and patients at every opportunity and encourage treatment
  • Proactively review the current day's schedules, attend daily huddle meeting and ensure team members are prepared for the day (chart review, system updates, notes, etc)
  • Manage the clinical team schedule to ensure appropriate coverage within the payroll budget (dates/times, overtime, time off, etc.)
  • Monitor practice key performance indicators to ensure practice goals are met and address any issues that hinder attainment of those goals (production goals, efficiency, customer service, etc.)
  • Coordinate team meetings, document action items and owners, follow up to ensure completion
  • Ensure policies & procedures are communicated and enforced
  • Source talent, ensure appropriate onboarding for new hires and continuing education for current staff
  • Coach team members to provide unparalleled customer service to patients and referring doctors
  • Reinforce behaviors, performance and appearance that promote an elevated practice environment
  • Coach and counsel team members that do not meet performance expectations
  • Facilitate conflict resolution with team members
  • Cover for team members during high volume days and when team members are out of the office
  • Meet all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Post-graduate degree and RN preferred
  • 7+ years’ work experience in dentistry
  • 3+ years’ management experience (4+ direct reports)
  • Experience in cosmetic applications is a plus
  • Relevant work with OSHA is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (required)
  • Knowledge of Open Dental (preferred)
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings
  • Naturally outgoing and energetic while maintaining a professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team while maintaining positive morale
  • Valid Driver’s license


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing and moving, as needed, throughout the day to support the team members and needed administrative activities
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Fast paced with moderate noise and activity level similar to a typical dental office
  • Regular Monday – Friday work schedule with ability to work occasional overtime
