Job Description
Location - Cleburne, Texas or Burnsville, Minnesota
We are seeking a Design Engineer to become a part of our team! You will be required to perform a variety of engineering tasks, as well as identify areas of improvement to increase operational efficiency. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
Day to day responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Oversee the installation and operation of various mechanical systems
- Repair and perform routine preventative maintenance
- Develop and present schematic design proposals
- Document design narratives & engineering analysis
- Review drawings and BOMs for accuracy and corrects errors.
- Design hydraulic cylinders, components and circuits.
- Assist with product designs from concept to completion
- Previous experience in mechanical engineering or other related fields
- Knowledge of fluids (Preferred, but not required)
- Fast paced environment with many projects open at the same time.
- Responsible for Hydraulic system design and development, including creating hydraulic schematics and specification documents, component sizing and selection, analysis of machine level requirements and translation into hydraulic component requirements
- Contribute to establishing strategies for new process and product programs
- Develop and manage the project/program to the plan; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas
- Generates detailed assembly drawings for hydraulic systems.
- Works independently and as a team member with other Engineers, Designers, and production personnel on ad hoc projects.
- Researches, designs, installs, tests, analyzes, and maintains hydraulic products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles under the direction of other engineers.
- Interacts with vendors and internal customers to collaborate on projects and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Creates and maintains hydraulic schematics.
- Firm understanding of how to read schematics.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Understanding of thermal management in hydraulic systems
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Time management
- Problem solving
- Excellent communication (Written, verbal, electronic)
- Motivated
- Thermal management in hydraulic systems
- Hydraulic design experience preferred
