Job Description

Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for a Senior Project Accountant for our client in the Pascagoula, MS area. The Senior Project Accountant will be creating financial appraisals, producing project forecasts, and developing project financial reports. The Senior Project Accountant will oversee the financial aspects of aspects of projects as they progress.

The ideal candidate must have a professional demeanor, strong attention to detail, and posses strong project management experience.

Senior Project Accountant Responsibilities:

Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, subcontract invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures
Prepare invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Project Manager and Director of Finance
Provide financial reports and budgets, as well a project forecast
Effectively communicate with Project Managers, regarding contract documents, contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing
Prepare pre-billing reports
Review budgets and work plans
Review and approve overhead charges to be applied to a project
Identify budget deviances
Report to management regarding the remaining funding available for projects
Analyze and approve outgoing expenses
Perform impact analysis
Issue invoices and purchase orders
Close out project accounts upon project completion
Perform other duties as assigned
