RN -Behavioral Health Optimization Program

Sterling Medical is seeking a qualified RN to provide case management / care coordination services in support of Behavioral Health Optimization at Ellsworth AFB.

This is an excellent opportunity to support Active Duty and their beneficiaries at Ellsworth AFB under the Behavioral Health Optimization Program (BHOP) by providing mental health clinical case management, care coordination and disease management for patients prescribed psychotropic medications by their Primary Care Manager (PCM). This includes, but is not limited to the conditions of depression and anxiety disorders, including PTSD.

The BHOP-RN will also monitor and facilitate adherence to treatments, provide education, coordinate care, maintain data registries, and perform full scope of clinical nursing in the execution of primary care behavioral health services.

Service hours are Monday through Friday – daytime hours. No nights. No weekends. No on-call

Candidate qualifications include:

-Current, full, active and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. State or U.S. Territory

-Working knowledge and a minimum of three years of experience with levels of care to include post-hospital and acute care illness stabilization.

-A minimum of three years of experience with a variety of psychopharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects to include side effects and complications of their use, as well as the administration of the psychopharmacologic agent.

-Must be skillful and tactful in communicating with people who may be physically or mentally ill, uncooperative, fearful, emotionally distraught, and occasionally dangerous.

-Must have at least 12 months of direct hands-on experience in the last 24 months with computer operations, basic word processing, data entry, and use of an automated medical record system.
