Legal Recruitment and Development Manager
Location: DC Office, but remote interviewing, training and working until it is safe to return to on-site working in DC.

This award-winning international firm with offices in all major business centers around the world seeks an Attorney Recruitment and Development Manager to head up their efforts in DC.
You will oversee all attorney recruitment, development and HR matters for the DC office. You will manage th
e Summer Program, the on-campus recruiting processes, and the lateral attorney recruiting effort and you will manage the recruitment process for all attorneys that include the summer program, fall associates, law clerks, foreign interns, inbound office secondments, lateral associates, counsel, partners and independent contractors. You will work with the Partner-in-Charge to facilitate lateral partner process to include maintaining search firm relationships, scheduling interviews, update of global tracking chart and collation of candidate materials for submission to Management Committee. You will update lead US ADR lateral partner recruitment professional monthly on lateral partner activity for the DC office and manage LawCruit database procedures for applicant tracking, candidate file maintenance, recruiting budgets, and hiring statistics.
You will manage attorney compliance with state bar admission (including DC bar waive in procedures and compliance), CLE requirements and state bar dues payments, in coordination with firm wide Attorney Personnel. Interact with U.S. offices on CLE compliance for attorneys admitted in multiple jurisdictions or for accreditation of courses for VA CLE credits. Manage attorney retention initiatives for attorney integration and mentoring programs, attorney dinners/functions/panels, etc. Coordinate internal and external marketing of training & development initiatives. Manage new lateral lawyer orientation and highlight training & development opportunities at the firm. Work with DC Women’s Forum to develop and implement women’s initiatives, coordinate events. Work with Hiring Partners and Partner-in-Charge on diverse law student outreach initiatives. Manage attorney human resources issues such as leaves of absence, separations, reclassifications to part time status, personnel file records, immigration issues, office transfers and international secondments, etc. Responsible for audit of PeopleSoft data on DC attorneys and related reporting. Coordinate the oral review process for DC attorneys; assist with overall attorney evaluation process as needed and coordinate exit process for DC attorneys
You will manage arrangements for in-house training programs for rsvp process, space, a/v, catering, communications, materials, evaluations, speakers, CLE, administration for sign in, certificates, etc. Manage use of attorney training related software: firm archived programs, CE Manager for CLE recordkeeping and WestLegalEd and PLI for online CLE programs and provide on-the-ground support to other ADR professionals when training events hosted in DC.
You will train, develop and supervise Attorney Recruitment departmental staff; manage workflow and allocation. Manage DC budgets for department, women’s initiatives, and recruiting initiatives.
You must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
You must have 5+ years of law firm attorney recruiting, training, HR and team management experience. Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office products and software for applicant tracking, summer work assignments and evaluations, HRIS and CLE tracking and compliance such as PeopleSoft, LawCruit, viDesktop and CE Manager.
