As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, 3 or 4 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant.  The maximum salary for the Administrative Coordinator 4 is $50,877.  Please refer to the "Job Specifications" tab located at the top of the LA Careers "Current Job Opportunities page" for specific information on salary ranges, minimum qualification requirements and job concepts for each level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
No experience or training is required.
Function of Work:
To perform a variety of clerical duties that are routine in nature in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program.

Employees usually follow detailed instructions or procedures. Very limited, if any, discretion is required in the performance of these duties.

Level of Work:
Entry.

Supervision Received:
General from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel.

Supervision Exercised:
None.

Location of Work:
May be used by all state agencies.

Job Distinctions:
Differs from Administrative Coordinator 2 by the absence of experienced-level duties that require some independent judgment to perform.NOTE: Positions allocated at this level tend to focus on a few examples of work as listed below:

Answers multi-line telephone or switchboards, giving routine information and screening calls.

Greets visitors.

Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.
Collects and prepares for processing time and attendance sheets for department or office.

Performs routine filing of documents and maintains filing systems.

Copies and/or distributes correspondence, reports, and other documents.

Receives cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or departmental charges from customers and/or employees in payment for goods or services.

May operate various office equipment (such as copy machine, calculator) that requires no special knowledge or previous training.

May deliver and pick-up various materials.
