JOB SUMMARY: This is a Revenue Specialist II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Receivables Management Process, Field Collection Unit, in the Tampa service center. The incumbent contacts taxpayers to resolve tax liabilities. The incumbent makes corrections, recommend compromises, and collect tax, penalty, interest and fees due to the State of Florida. The incumbent also gathers information for final enforcement actions, prepares legal documents, and identifies property's subject to levy.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- One year of experience managing accounts receivable, collections or financial services; Or three years of full-time direct sales experience that includes cold calling.
- Three years of experience working with multiple software applications that include Microsoft Word and Excel.

- The hiring salary for this position generally does not exceed $2,300.00 monthly.
- This position requires travel to taxpayers' locations to conduct field visits. Mileage will be reimbursed according to agency policy.
- Required classroom training may require daily travel or an overnight stay.
- This position requires that you work full-time from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flex schedules are not permitted in this position.
SKILLS VERIFICATION TEST: All applicants who meet the screening criteria/minimum job requirements will be required to take a Skills Verification Test. Applicants must receive a score of at least 70% to be considered further.
