# Job Summary
This position will assist Minnesotans with disabilities reach their goals for working and living in the community by supporting DEED-VRS' effort to become an Employment Network for the Social Security Administration's (SSA) Ticket to Work (TTW) Program. This position also exists to develop VRS' capacity to coordinate Ticket availability for Employment Networks Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRPs) via SSA's TTW Program Partnership Plus Program and work internally to support SSA's VRS Cost Reimbursement Program.
Specifically, this position will: 1) Develop VRS capacity as an Employment Network for the SSA TTW program. 2) Coordinate Ticket Assignment and Un-assignment of Tickets to maximize Program Income for DEED VRS and Milestone Payments for External ENs 3) Maintain current, in depth knowledge of SSA Work Incentives available to SSI and SSDI beneficiaries. 4) Monitor and communicate distribution of revenue to internal programs and external partners. 5) Maintain continuous communication with VRS Leadership, External ENs regarding key SSA TTW updates, opportunities to enhance Program Income Opportunities, avoid over-payment. 6) Market TTW EN partnership to potential partners. Provide ongoing training for both internal staff and Community partners to ensure SSA TTW guideline compliance. 7) Develop individualized benefits plans for persons served internally.
The incumbent will provide expertise and support to develop DEED-VRS capacity as an Employment Network (EN) for the SSA TTW program. The incumbent facilitates collaborative efforts with the SSA, Maximus, Department of Human Services, the Disability Hub and external Employment Networks (EN) Community Rehabilitation Partners (CRPs) in order to develop DEED-VRS Employer Network Administration capacity. The incumbent will assure that DEED-VRS TTW Employment Network role aligns with federal and state standards and the VRS strategic direction and plan.
Job Duties include:
1. Develop, Plan, Implement and Sustain DEED-VRS role as TTW Employment Network.
2. Lead, Coordinate, and provide effective support to TTW Partnership Plus Employment Networks (Community Rehabilitation providers)
3. Develop learning opportunities for TTW, Work Incentives and Benefits Planning available to VRS staff & Community Rehabilitation providers on a local, regional and statewide basis.
4. Evaluate, monitor outcomes/deliverables of TTW Employment Network /Partnership Plus Efforts.
Certification as a Work Incentives Coordinator.
Benefits Coach Certification.
Experience supporting Social Security's Ticket to Work Employment Networks.
Excellent human relations skills and ability to partner with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to uncover and address conflicting needs and concerns, build consensus, and create shared vision.
Excellent Communication skills - both orally and in writing.
