# **Job Summary**
This is your opportunity to enjoy working with a dynamic and highly professional group of staff in a small, state-of-the-art, inpatient psychiatric treatment facility that provides excellent care for adults with a variety of behavioral health conditions. With only 16 beds, this Community Behavioral Health Hospital in Fergus Falls offers an array of services in a community based setting. Our mental health treatment and programming utilizes a person-centered framework. We routinely involve the patient, their family and multiple community resources in treatment planning and implementation. The interdisciplinary treatment team is robust, and includes a psychiatrist, nurses, a psychologist, social workers, and rehabilitation therapists. This hospital is part of a network of 6 small behavioral health hospitals located throughout the state, and with that you will enjoy collaboration with colleagues. Work with your patients for an average of 30 days, and help to transition their care to a robust outpatient system of services in the area.
This position functions as a hospitalist delivering comprehensive mental health care for individuals with acute to chronic and severe mental illness in collaboration with other health care professionals. This includes serving as the on-site psychiatric mental health attending clinician and a leader of the clinical treatment team. Additional duties include assessing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating persons admitted to the hospital to ensure that mental, social, and physical health needs are met.
The Fergus Falls area has wonderful museums, historical buildings, a performing arts center, shopping - from national chain stores to boutiques and antiques, world class horse arena and fabulous biking, walking, snowmobiling trail, fishing, boating and skiing. There are also a number of lakes in the area and the cities are located northwest of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.

## **Minimum Qualifications**
* Master's degree from an accredited School of Nursing with ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist. * Licensed or license eligible as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in MN. * Authorization from the MN Board of Nursing to prescribe drugs and therapeutic devices.
