Cloud Platform Engineer

Stark Tech is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to be the subject matter expert for cloud platform technology across Stark Tech and the liaison with our development team. This position will be responsible for engaging the business and driving key technology projects to help Stark Tech further our initiatives. This individual will create and maintain cloud systems and services throughout Stark Tech with the candidate's focus on uptime, security, efficiency gains available through automation and stability.
How are you successful in this role?
As the Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for completing proactive maintenance activities as assigned by IT leadership including reviewing and revamping CI/CD pipelines to new standards, monitoring, and maintaining project dependencies and security updates, streamlining project setup and deployments, and automation of existing processes. Plan for future expansion and integration of system technologies. Provide project support for enterprise IT initiatives across teams. Generate K8, EKS, Beanstalk and helm configurations across all Stark projects. Configure docker permissions and compose files. Create and maintain multi-cloud services under guidance from the IT Infrastructure Manager. Update and create SOPs and policies to meet corporate governance. Configure automation for IaaS with tools like Terraform, Arm, Bicep, PowerShell across AWS and Azure. Mentor and motivate teammates and help cross train in all technologies and centers of excellence.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or another related field required.
- 1 or more of the following industry certifications preferred: AWS cloud architect, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, GitHub CI/CD Specialist Certification.
- 5+ years of relevant experience on cloud platforms.
- Light coding capabilities, ability to read and understand various configurations and find dependencies required.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
- Must be able to prioritize and quickly troubleshoot and resolve problems using a wide variety of tools.
- Respond to emergency situations effectively, maintaining poise and focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effectively communicate technical issues to users in a clear, comprehensible manner.
- Strong customer service skills; dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal/external customers.
- Travel to other company locations as required but minimal.
