This job contributes to Starbucks success by facilitating the planning, establishment, execution and evaluation of a complex, multi-year, multifaceted suite of projects frequently including multiple executive sponsors. Provides professional guidance and leadership to project teams to realize the strategic business vision or desired result. Works with program leadership utilizing best practices to achieve objectives by building a change management capability, organizational design and embedding behavioral change. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Develop a change management framework and toolset that can be used across the program on multiple projects. Work with program managers and other key stakeholders to build, and then own, change management plans and execution that address: Stakeholder analysis and engagement Understanding and envisioning end-state goals and helping stakeholders align goals with organizational vision and goals Gaps between current state and end-state Including identification of training and capability development needs Cultural integration and behavioral change Implementation adoption and acceptance Organization design and transition management Change management on a project level Cross-functional communication (internal and external) Work cross-functionally with executives and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of the project. Develop and/or identify and leverage key change champions throughout the organization. Consult with stakeholders on enabling conditions for change, especially where there are gaps in acceptance Consult with the sponsoring business unit or units in the development of a clearly articulated vision, mission, business case and resulting project plan. Starbucks will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with all federal, state, and local ordinances.Summary of Experience Experience working on people and behavioral change projects, or other types of projects with significant change management elements - 8 years Designing and executing organizational changes and planning for employee impacts - 5 years Bringing order in an ambiguous environment - 5 years Application of industry-based change management and project management methodologies and tools - 5 years Working on large, complex projects (from planning through stabilization) with enterprise impacts and c-level sponsorship - 3 years Experience with implementing large organizational shifts - 3 years Basic Qualifications Deep knowledge of change management theory and execution Small and large group facilitation skills Collaborate with project teams Ability to execute end-to-end change management from strategy, through implementation, and transition to the business unit Knowledge of adult learning theory and practices Ability to hold people with care through difficult change Ability to balance logic and analytical thinking with empathy Ability to look at the bigger picture as well as have a keen eye for detail Ability to influence and communicate at all levels, leading from behind when necessary Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity Able to act as a cultural ambassador for Starbucks Fluency in PowerPoint with solid experience in Word, Excel Curiosity to learn about new businesses Travel may be required (up to 30%) Preferred Qualifications Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, BlueJeans and Skype a plus Knowledge of project management best practices Experience delivering change management at Starbucks Knowledge of human resources
