Primary Objectives

The Implementation Specialist role is crucial to supporting the success of both our customers externally as well as supporting the Project Managers on Implementations and other business units alike as a Technical Leader within the team. Being Professional, detail and results oriented while emphasizing best practices is essential to the Implementation Specialist role in New Projects and Addendum / Work orders alongside the following key components

  • Provide focus on new implementation and Community Relations addendum/work order deliverables
  • To manage and maintain strong relationship with project managers and directives as assigned from the Professional Services team
  • To provide clear technical solutions to operational requirements within the best practices of the StarRez software and product suite both internal and externally
  • Providing technical consultation in conjunction with Project Managers for requirements as needed.

  • Confident and professional conversation/facilitation skills over phone and video

  • Firm understanding of the use of technology and data to support product decision making.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient User of Microsoft Office Suite and support systems (Jira, etc.)
  • Previous Experience as an Implementation Specialist on projects a plus
  • Exemplary organizational and written / oral communication skills
  • A proven track record of success in the implementation space
  • Must be willing to present ideas / solutions to team and present publicly at annual conference
  • Strong judgment, issues management, and problem analysis techniques
  • Experience working in Database Driven Applications
  • Familiarity with Cloud Services and Cloud Platform offerings (Azure / AWS, etc).
  • Experience troubleshooting and / or implementing Student Information Systems integrations
  • Experience / Exposure to modern web technologies including, but not limited to: Payment Gateways / eCommerce, ETL / Data Management Activities, Relational Databases and SSO Methods for modern web apps.
  • Customer Service - able to actively listen and focus on resolving the needs of internal and external customers, management and vendors
  • BS / BA in IT related discipline / business related field preferred but not required
  • Process-minded - seeks out ways to improve process and procedures internally and externally
  • Team player who is approachable, friendly and helpful
  • Displays commitment and dedication within all aspects of work
  • Prioritization - managing multiple projects and scheduling tasks efficiently

  • Ability to provide resolution and/or escalation to customer concerns in a timely fashion
