Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by daily fine tuning machinery and equipment such as CMM, FARO Arm, MicroVu, etc that builds confidence and insures parts are qualified and completed at their desired designed spec and drawings.

·         Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

·         Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.

·         Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.

·         Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.

·         Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.

·         Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

·         Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

·         Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System to assure compliance with AS9100 standards.

·         Manage all regulatory and industry specific certification programs including but not limited to FAA & FAA Repair, EASA, DER, CAAC, NADCAP and others.

·         Function as primary point of contact with the FAA, EASA, DER, CAAC and AS9100 bodies to establish and coordinate site surveillance audits, documentation changes affecting the Quality Management System and Standard revisions. Participate in all site assessments.

·         Manage the internal audit program through development and issuance of a yearly audit schedule, creation/revision of audit checklists, performing audits, and issuing status reports to management.

·         Complete customer-issued Supplier Surveys or certifications

·         Follow and stay current with AS9100 procedures, policies, manuals, and subscriptions

·         Support the document creation and document control processes to ensure compliance with quality systems manual

·         Create and facilitate training for employees and plant leaders to support understanding of the quality manual.

·         Maintain training records for any unique certifications (FAA Repair, NADCAP, etc.)

·         Provide guidance to product quality teams and plant leaders regarding compliance with quality systems.

·         Coordinate required certification audits with outside contractors to maintain certificates

·         Up to 15% travel (domestic and/or international) as necessary.

 Qualifications/Education Requirements:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required

·         2 years previous Quality Assurance experience required

·         MUST HAVE CMM EXPERIENCE

·         MS Office (Excel, Word, Email) experience required

·         Effective written and verbal communication skills

·         Good organizational skills and attention to detail

·         Process Improvement, Analyzing Information, Strategic Planning, Informing Others

·         Quality Engineering, Emphasizing Excellence, GD&T, Dealing with Complexity

·         Employee will always be flexible to work in all areas of the business where a need is seen necessary and be available to help work in those other areas at any given time

·         For ITAR compliance, all employees must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.

·         Employee will have reliable transportation.

·         Physical requirement lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·         Health Insurance, Dental, and Vision with a Life Insurance policy is paid 100% beginning 61st day of employment.

·         Vacation of 2 weeks, including an additional week of Personal Time (3 weeks total) Accrual begins 61st day of employment.

·         Paid 8 days of Holiday Pay. Holiday pay is covered beginning 61st day of employment.
