Job Description

A dynamic medical device company in pediatric dentistry is looking for a Graphic Web Designer to join their Marketing Team! As the Graphic Web Designer your responsibilities include design and creating graphics for the website, branding, and communicating design ideas with the Marketing Team!

Schedule: 8am-4:30pm

Qualifications:

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and API's experience.
  • Write, Evaluate, structure supporting code for web sites standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.
  • Recommend programming languages, design tools, or applications
  • Install and configure hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) servers
  • Create and manage secure backup systems for local files.
  • Establish procedures and schedules to manage updates, upgrades and system clean up for applicable platforms.
  • Register and maintain status of web sites.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and present strategies and opportunities with SEO, social media and digital advertising to increase website traffic.  –Deliver on implementation of agreed upon strategy for SEO, social media, etc.
  • Create web models and prototypes. Develop system interaction or sequence diagrams.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop analytics for web traffic and activity throughout all company sites. Analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. –Provide regular reports to Customer Care/Education/Marketing teams with results and make recommendations.
  • Perform market surveillance for document test plans, testing procedures and test results for currently used applications.
  • Establish appropriate server directory trees.
  • Recommend and implement performance improvements.
  • Stay knowledgeable and proficient with current web technologies, programming practices through continuing education, reading, professional conferences, workshops, or groups.
  • Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
  • Incorporate technical considerations into web site design plans, such as budgets, equipment, performance requirements, or legal issues including accessibility and privacy.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and Identify or maintain links to and from other web sites and check links to ensure proper functioning.
  • Provide clear, detailed descriptions of web site specifications such as product features, activities, software, communication protocols, programming languages, and operating systems software and hardware.
  • Monitor security system performance logs to identify problems and notify security specialists when problems occur.
  • Document technical factors such as server load, bandwidth, database performance, and browser and device types.
  • Maintain organized file system for the web server on the Company drive in accordance with company standards.

Web Design:

  • Plan site design by clarifying goals; designing functionality.
  • Develop site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through content.
  • Develop site content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.
  • Provide design maintenance of all websites and other electronic publications and applications.
  • Ensure that all design elements, templates and finished solutions are compatible and work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
  • Work with marketing and development staff on style and approach for all projects.
  • Provide design elements, comps, templates and finished solutions for the website.
  • Participate in efforts to improve quality of websites and other electronic publications as required
