This team is responsible for developing new polyester polyols and foam formulations to improve rigid foam insulation performance. This position will be directly involved with the production of rigid foam samples in the lab and testing of samples made in the lab or by customers.
Work will include physical testing of rigid foam (compressive testing, dimensional stability, insulation value, etc) and supporting processing work on high pressure foam equipment by blending formulations, monitoring processing data and studying the influence of formulation changes on the foam performance. The position will require the use of a bandsaw and, preferably, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training on all testing and equipment will be provided, but some mechanical aptitude is beneficial. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but not a requirement, with a focus on the field of science or engineering. An ideal candidate will have good data analysis & organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project timelines.
