Staffmark has an exciting Direct Hire opening for an experienced Quality Manager. This position is located in Nashville, Arkansas. Relocation assistance may be available. The ideal candidate will have experience within a high volume plastics manufacturer.
Lead a team of quality production professionals to support quality systems management objectives and drive continual quality improvement.
Effectively communicate quality vision and expectations across site; participate in focused quality training.
Function as a strong quality liaison to other functional departments, providing meaningful quality support and ensuring productive cross-functional communication.
Oversee training requirements for quality associates, technicians and quality specialist.
Propose, design, implement, and drive quality improvements
Support design (R & D) during new product introduction to ensure appropriate activities are conducted and documented.
Facilitate root cause investigations utilizing continuous improvement methods for internal and external non-conformances and communicate results to management and customers.
Support internal, customer and regulatory audits as appropriate. Lead Auditor experience is preferred
Complete monthly KPI reports for internal presentations.
Make data driven decisions and strategies to improve quality.
Lead plant APQP and PPAP processes
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Demonstrated ability to handle large projects and bring to conclusion.
Robust time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines.
Excellent written and verbal skills coupled with the ability to maintain and generate product application literature, media, and technical articles.
Mechanical aptitude and mental/physical/visual acuity. Ability to analyze application requirements, provides failure analysis, select components and make recommendations to meet system requirements. Engineering discipline experience with a focus on mechanical, industrial and/or fluid power systems. Detailed Working Knowledge of GD&T and SPC
Competency in drawing interpretation, spreadsheet analysis, database research and presentation skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS OR EQUIVALENCIES:
BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of quality experience in a plastics manufacturing environment.
ASQ certification CQA, CQE, or CQM strongly preferred
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience. (Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred)
Working knowledge of GD&T methodology.
Detailed Working Knowledge of AIAG PPAP process are a plus
Experience implementing Continuous Improvement and working knowledge of TPS philosophies, utilizing Kaizen.
Ability to distinguish minute color difference between samples is a plus.
Knowledge of Fixture design and equipment calibration methods via appropriate NIST standards are a plus
Previous involvement with selection and set up of Inspection equipment and processes are a plus
CAD/CAM programming skills via CMM or other inspection equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint is a plus
Previous supervision of hourly, skilled employees is a plus.
Fluency in Spanish is advantageous
