Job Description: Staffmark has partnered with a premier manufacturing facility in Rogers AR that currently has an opening for a Bilingual Operations Manager /Food Division. Successful candidates will be bilingual in English and Spanish have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills Job Summary: The Operations Manager will manage all aspects of the Division’s Roger’s based operations with the responsibility of Grower, Meat Processing, Maintenance, Transportation, Facilities, and Quality Control departments ensuring they all are performing efficiently and effectively. The Foods Operations Manager will initiate the annual revenue planning process and product delivery schedule and work with the W&G Marketing (the Division’s contracted exclusive Sales Agent) to agree on the annual sales plan. The Food Division Manager will also work with W & G Marketing to ensure the annual sales plan is achieved. In concert with planning annual revenue, the Operations Manager will be responsible for forecasting and delivery of product at a level that supports the planned annual revenue forecast. The Operations Manager will work directly with the local USDA line inspector, the State Quality Inspection local office, and manage the Division’s HACCP, Good Manufacturing Program, and Animal Welfare audits. The Operations Manager will lead the team in successfully completing outside audits of its GMP Program. The Operations Manager will work with the Company’s CEO and Biological Division team to ensure there is open communications between Foods and Biological team members associated with the provision of all needed raw biological materials. The Operations Manager will work the Company’s CEO to coordinate and lead the company’s internal marketing initiatives (social media, community events). The Operations Manager will coordinate with W&G to develop new sales channels, including e-commerce and large national retailers. Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership to direct reports to ensure they are focused on key metrics and business strategies. Examples of key metrics are annual revenue plan and annual forecasted product process and pounds processed and sold. Creates a positive influence in all areas of the work environment across a diverse group of team members. Effectively manages operations and field service personnel to ensures all are adequately trained and able to produce quality raw material and finished food products. Participates in the hiring and training of managers, leads and office staff. Participates in the development of training and cross-training plans. Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of the Division managers. Works with managers to set and manage performance goals. Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. Partners with HR to handle recruiting, training, and discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Duties/Responsibilities: The Operations Manager will partner as needed with W&G Marketing, the CEO, the Biological Division team and all other Senior Administrative managers to ensure the following duties and responsibilities are completed successfully to meet Company goals: Works in all operational areas to develop, implement, and execute long-term strategic planning including achievement of key metric markers for continual measuring and comparisons of each area of Food Division operations. Manages the field service, plant operations, and resources to ensure all products are created in the most efficient and effective manner while maintaining high quality standards, accurate and timely productions results, and staying within the annual budget. Assures there is smooth communication between Foods Operations team members to meet the division’s goals and makes decisions when they lay outside the realm of everyday activities. Coordinates with CEO to lead internal/local marketing initiatives, including social, media and local retail/restaurant partnerships. Coordinate with the CEO and W&G to develop new sales channels, including pet food, e-commerce and large national retailers. Keeps lines of communication open with the Biological Division team to ensure biological orders can be provided in a timely manner and meeting customer needs. Coordinates efforts of the Foods Operations team and partners with W&G to meet customer needs. Partners with W&G to provide feedback and interaction with key customers to help improve quality and efficiencies regarding production opportunities. Attends key customer meetings. Partner with W&G as needed on revisions to the Sales/Marketing Agreement. Interfaces as needed with W&G, Biological Division team, and Senior Administrators to ensure efficient communication across all business functions, collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and preparing recommendations on projects, key performance indicators, business strategies, providing feedback to the CEO and making decisions as necessary. Assists the CEO with building new and/or enhanced products. Helps to identify possible opportunities whether utilizing internal or external outsourcing to improve efficient business objectives. Helps to identify and implement operating policies and procedures for continuous improvement and meeting of business strategies. Assists in developing annual business plans. Provides leadership and direction for improved preventative maintenance while overseeing financial spending. Provides operational information to CEO and Accounting on a regular basis. Directly responsible for the Division’s Animal Welfare Program, Foods Good Manufacturing Program, USDA Plant Regulations, and USDA Labeling regulations. Represents the company and interface with outside entities like City of Rogers and FDA. Partners with HR and Safety Coordinator to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, company policies, procedures, and safety programs. Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, new technologies, and market conditions relevant to the division and industry. Fundamental to all positions is the requirement to understand and promote the Quality System as part of the company's overall goal toward continual improvement through strict adherence to all company policies and procedures, as well as actively supporting and upholding the principals and values of the company. Performs other duties as required. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion. Must be able to keep company matters strictly confidential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to create a team work environment. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Thorough understanding of the company’s policies, procedures, systems, and objectives. Strong project management skills. Must have excellent follow-up and tracking skills. Must be responsible, flexible and self-managed. Professional presentation and conduct. Ability to develop divisional policies and procedures that are effective and clear. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to be clear and concise when communicating with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Thorough understanding of fiscal and human resource management techniques. Thorough knowledge of compliance requirements and governmental regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to master industry/company specific software, including Ability 585, the company’s ERP software. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree preferred OR broad knowledge of such fields equivalent to a four-year college degree plus 9 to 10 years related experience and/or training. Six years related management experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
