NPI Project Manager
- $105,000 to $110,000 Yearly

Our client is seeking a Project Manager. The NPI Project Manager ensures successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of multiple New Product Introduction projects through to production that fall within the standards of company product strategy and NPI roadmap.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct project gate reviews in line with project timing and NPI process
requirements to meet deliverables on time.
• Participate in defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, risks, and
timelines in collaboration with other teams, such as Product Management,
Product Development, Commercial stream, Operations, Regulatory,
Quality, and Research.
• Ensure NPI projects are following the agreed Stage Gate Process using the
required tools and templates.
• Manage integrated project teams, including external partners. to deliver
projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Use phase gated NPI project toolkit.
• Conduct regular team project status reviews for individual projects and
updating project metrics.
• Hold frequent design review meetings during the prototyping phase to
assure the proper track is being followed.
• Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by
providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
• Maintain an overview of all assigned projects and communication status
with NPI manager and/or senior leadership.
• Create and track development budgets.
• Mentor, train, coach and facilitate Project Management and Operational
Excellence skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in design / Mechanical Engineering and/or Business
Administration. Master’s a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Project Management
Institute (PMI) or FXP certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Management Office (PMO) with
focus on NPI projects experience in R&D projects or Product Management.
• Hands-on experience using NPI Stage Gate Process.
• Ability to act with the highest professionalism, exercise independent
judgment, and decision-making while weighing the interests of multiple
stakeholders.
• Ability to delegate, inspire, and communicate effectively.
• Capability to demonstrate project management standards.
• Understanding of Project Management tools, preferably Smartsheet.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma and KAIZEN methodologies.
• Excellent design thinking experience.
• Ability to travel on occasion.
• Industry background: preferably Biotech, Life Sciences, MedTech, Pharma
or Aviation.
• Requires valid CA Driver License and proof of automobile insurance.
