Job Description

Staffing Etc. provides health care workers (MDs, Dentists, Pharmacists, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Social Workers, and Allied Health Professionals) and administrative staff to Private Hospitals, Government Agencies, School Systems, Correctional institutions, and Health Centers. Founded in 2003 by Hope and David Porter as D. H. Porter Enterprises in 2003, Staffing Etc. was initially known as Interim Health Care of Washington, DC and Southern Maryland.

Staffing Etc is currently seeking an experienced Staff Accountant. This position is located at our corporate office in Lanham, MD. The Staff Accountant would be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to CFO and Senior Management. He/ She will maintain and control the General Ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records; prepares internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger and from departments; prepare correspondence as needed within the department, and assist Payroll Specialist with payroll system and payroll related items.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, REQUIRED: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting is required; Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data and the use of Excel Spreadsheets; and knowledge of Vendor Management, Kronos and Payroll systems.
