Technical Support Representative

Monroe Staffing, a division of Staffing 360 Solutions, is currently hiring a Technical Support Representative for a well-known security system supplier located in Oxford, CT. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a call center environment and excellent verbal and written skills. Training will be provided.

Location: Oxford, CT

Pay rate: $18.00-19.00/hr.

Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday- Friday

Key Responsibilities of a Technical Support Representative:

1. Identifies, investigates, and resolves users’ problems with software and hardware.
2. Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, and similar concerns.
3. Consults with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem.
4. Applies knowledge of software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.
5. Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.
6. Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems.
7. Assessing software bugs and compile findings along with suggesting resolutions for development team members
8. Maintains knowledge of technological innovations and trends.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications of a Technical Support Representative:

1. High School Diploma required
2. At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment
3. Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers
4. Professional and pleasant telephone manner
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
6. Ability to work overtime when needed
7. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
