Job Description

Position Description:

You will be responsible for performing X-ray and fluorescent Penetrant Inspection on large Aerospace assemblies.

You will be responsible for the safe operation of our Radiographic Testing equipment (X-Ray Vault) including controlling the radiation area, calibration, and supporting the development of RT and PT techniques.

 

Qualifications

 

You will need to have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the inspection of Aerospace weldments and Casting.

Experience in Titanium, Inconel, Steel and Aluminum weldments.

Training and Experience per NAS 410 procedure.

RT Level 2 Certification

PT Level 2 Certification.

Practical Experience: Documented RT hours of experience approved by a RT Level 3 as applicable.

Practical Experience: Documented PT hours of experience approved by a PT Level 3 as applicable.

RT Level 2 Classroom hrs: minimum 80.

RT Radiation Health and Safety classroom training.

PT Level 2 Classroom hrs: minimum 32.

Key Responsibilities:

· Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT/NDE tasks, in which they are certified, and interpret results of inspections

  • Able to assist the Level 3 with inspections and program related duties

· Set up and utilize various NDT equipment

· Ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety and health guidelines and our radiation safety program and regulations

· Organize and report test results

· Fill out daily inspection reports and documentation as required.

· Perform the daily RT & PT process control test as required

· Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

· Basic computer skills.

· Self-motivated and reliable

· Ability to self-direct work schedule

· Make and keep company and customer commitments

· Ability to lead others

· Success in working on small teams

· Ability to share on-the-job knowledge with others

· Ability to communicate with multiple levels of employees

· Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics

· Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

· Responsible for all activities performed on location

· Maintain all certification

Working Conditions:

· Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, crawling, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling.

· Moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds

· Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time

· Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of heat and cold

· Work in and near industrial hazards

· Be able to work outdoors in warm, hot and cold conditions

· Success in working on small teams

· Ability to absorb both on-the-job and classroom training

· Maintain a high level of integrity

· Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
