Wordsmith (B2B & Technical Copywriter)

As a Wordsmith @ StackBlitz you will be responsible for writing high quality content to attract and educate both business and technical audiences about StackBlitz and modern web development processes and tools.

You will help establish StackBlitz’s position as a thought leader in the future of software development through education on both technical topics and business use cases for our tool. Your written content will captivate both technical as well as enterprise business audiences and leave the reader excited to see what they can accomplish with the tool for their projects and organizations.

The Marketing team is just being established, so this is a great opportunity to help shape the team’s culture and have a major impact on the future of this critical function.

Your Responsibilities:

• Day 1 Primary Project: Write persuasive business & technical posts for blog.stackblitz.com
• Be a full-time wordsmith and lead the development/evolution of the StackBlitz “voice”
• Write short and long-form thought leadership content, website copy, blog posts, case studies and client success stories for our website, email list, blog, and more
• Create compelling marketing collateral that showcases the value of our products
• Develop style guides and enable internal teams to create content

We’re Looking For:

• Communication super powers, especially when discussing/writing about technical topics
• Strong product instincts and technical curiosity which translates into crystal clear persuasive public messaging that captures developers and business leaders attention
• A strong portfolio demonstrating a knack for compelling headlines, clear informational copy, and an ability to educate readers about the technical topics covered
• Comfortable collaborating with product, marketing, and sales teams autonomously
• Ability to generate results in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy
• Problem solving skills, a great attitude, and a desire to win together as a team

Nice to Haves:

• You can write some JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• You’ve worked at larger companies and understand the pains of the enterprise from personal experience
• You know how to drive and evolve a strategy, not just take inbound assignments
• You think like a business owner, understand trade offs/opportunity costs, and can change course when the data suggests the strategy needs revision
• No task too big or too small
• Not afraid to take on tasks outside of your core role
• Perpetual learning attitude
