The Community Ministries Coordinator will work with the St. Philip staff and congregation to create connections between faith and life in our communities. The position has flexibility to be 30-40 hours while also being open to rostered or lay leadership candidates. Priorities for the position will include the following:
To creatively proclaim the gospel in the community using language, resources, venues, and relationships that extend beyond traditional church practices.
To develop and implement core congregational programming, specifically working with children, families and adult faith development.
To recruit and empower lay volunteers for internal and community ministries, creating the best possible use of talents, competencies, and passions.
To identify church resources, both Lutheran and ecumenical, that facilitate connecting with neighborhood and community.
To work closely with community leaders outside the church, creating opportunities for joint programs that feed and serve our neighbors both physically and spiritually

Ability to create and manage effective relationships with a wide variety of people

Media skills including familiarity with social media platforms, web-based communication, word processing, database management, email, power point
Ability to facilitate communication across a variety of platforms
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all relationships
