The Engineering Department at St. Mary's University of San Antonio, a private, Catholic university invites nominations and applications for a non-tenure track position at the visiting assistant professor level in the area of industrial engineering, with an emphasis on logistics, supply chain, operations research, analytics or machine learning. The position will be available beginning fall semester of 2021. This position requires a Ph.D. in industrial engineering or a closely-related discipline and a commitment to excellence in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses and service. ABD candidates with an expected completion date within one year of appointment will be considered. Applicants should be willing to engage in a variety of instructional modalities, including online instruction and evening classes, and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate students in research. This position also requires establishing working relationships with local industries for education and training activities.
The Engineering Department houses seven undergraduate engineering majors and five graduate programs. The position also provides support to the other engineering majors within the Department. Opportunities for multi-disciplinary research exist within the Department and the School of Science, Engineering and Technology.
