  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Coordinate the flow of ambulatory patients in accessing services in assigned areas via reception, scheduling, prior authorization and record management. Performs general secretarial duties. Assists Director and Supervisors with payroll and statistical tracking.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education: High school graduate or equivalent
    • Experience: One (1) year of previous experience in health care, customer service or clerical services.

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • Medical terminology; computer keyboarding at minimum of fifty (50) wpm with 95% accuracy. Knowledge and skill in use of business letters/forms. Proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and format, editing for consistency and accuracy. Skill in use of computer office software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, database presentation and scheduling. Ability to work with other people in a courteous, tactful manner, work under pressure of time constraints, work independently with minimal supervision, excellent eye, hand and auditory coordination.

      READING - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
    • WRITING - Basic: Ability to write simple correspondence.
    • SPEAKING - Basic: Ability to speak simple sentences.
    • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
    • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
