Job Description

 

The Pastorate of St. Augustine, Williamsport, St. James Boonsboro, and St. Joseph Hagerstown seeks a full time Administrative Assistants for pastorate operations. Qualifications include excellent verbal /written communication skills, in both English and Spanish, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent organizational skills, and ability to function as part of a parish team. Knowledge of the Catholic Church and its mission strongly preferred. Minimum 2 years as an Administrative Assistant in a professional environment strongly preferred. Responsibilities include editing the weekly bulletin, updating pastorate social media platforms and website, answering the phone, correspondence and mailings, maintenance of census program, child/youth protection documentation for volunteers/staff, maintaining schedules and calendars. Hours: Approximately 35 – 40 hours/week Monday thru Friday and approximately two evenings per month (6:00 pm – 8:00 pm) required. Also required: rare necessity for weekend hours.
