Squaremouth is looking for a creative and self-motivated individual to join our collaborative Marketing department.

Squaremouth's Marketing Department is an energetic, tight-knit and tenured group. This candidate will work closely alongside our CMO and Marketing Manager, to support all marketing efforts.

This is a mid-level position, with the opportunity for fast advancement for driven individuals. We are looking for someone with an equally strong desire for personal growth and professional success. While extremely collaborative, Squaremouth's Marketing team operates in a remote environment. This role requires an autonomous individual, who is highly productive in a remote environment, and able to effectively manage their own time and tasks.

Squaremouth is an industry-leader and innovator. As a member of our marketing department you will naturally find yourself in the spotlight, both internally amongst co-workers and externally in the travel industry. This person must be confident, able to accept and learn from constructive criticism, and thrive in a high profile environment.

This is a content-heavy role, and requires an individual who has a passion for content creation. A successful candidate is organized, has extreme attention to detail, is excited about becoming an expert in our industry. To be successful, it is vital they have the ability to translate technical language into interesting and easy-to-comprehend articles.

In addition to content creation, the Marketing Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with all facets of our Marketing team, to include SEO, PR, Project Management, and User Experience/Design. They will work directly with team leads to execute deliverables in support of both customers and business partners.


+ Write and edit engaging copy to support our website, including but not limited to FAQs, in-depth travel insurance articles and blog posts, landing pages, and content about trending topics and events that impact our industry

+ Understand SEO best practices and utilize this understanding to effectively draft optimized website content to drive organic site traffic

+ Work with Marketing team leads to establish a content strategy and calendar, and meet respective deadlines

+ Monitor and report on success of SEO-focused content

+ Assist in drafting written responses to members of the media

+ Coordinate between Squaremouth and our external PR firm

+ Assist Marketing Project Manager in coordinating marketing projects and tasks

+ Maintain Squaremouth's social media presence

+ Effectively storytell for Squaremouth both on-brand and on-voice

+ Translate technical travel insurance information into easy-to-understand content for use across the web

+ Multitask between projects and handle several tasks simultaneously

+ Monitor company presence online, to include articles, social media websites, blogs, and forums

+ Audit and keep up-to-date Squaremouth websites, to include content and imagery

+ Keep a pulse of the travel industry to identify new and newsworthy topics, trends, and events that impact travel insurance

+ Keep a pulse on our industry, to include our competitors, partners, and disruptors

+ Continually research and track trending search terms as it applies to our industry, and produce supportive content to target high volume search terms

+ Monitor customer reviews and respond when appropriate

+ Support internal training creation with updated content as necessary

+ Collaborate with Marketing team leads to develop new marketing initiatives and improve existing marketing efforts

+ Become an expert in travel insurance, with a deep understanding of Squaremouth's customer base

+ Strong telephone skills with a commitment to incredible customer service


+ Passion for copywriting, organization, and project management

+ Experience generating content for SEO

+ At least 2 years of Copywriting, Marketing, or Communications experience

+ Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field

+ Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

+ Engaging and creative writing style

+ High attention to detail

+ Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow-through skills needed to handle a wide range of marketing activities and projects

+ Ability to handle constructive criticism and accept different points of view and feedback

+ Ability to work both within a team, and independently with minimal supervision

+ Proficient use of Google Workspace

+ Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment

+ A high level of comfort with technology, including, but not limited to: Slack, Asana, Salesforce, Zoom, Meet, Wordpress

+ Work in a deadline-driven environment, to create urgent deliverables and meet tight deadlines

+ BONUS: Experience writing for the travel and/or insurance industries
