Territory Sales Manager/ Ontario
Application Engineer

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Manage and grow an assigned list of existing accounts.
• Develop and execute sales strategies and marketing plans for the assigned sales territory to achieve and exceed sales goals.
• Prospect, develop and obtain new sales growth thru new customers, new industries, as well as thru deeper penetration into existing accounts. Develop strategic customers.
• Negotiate and close sales opportunities in a timely manner with a focus on servicing the customer’s needs while generating profitable and long-term business relationships.
• Document and maintain sales activities, customer information and a follow-up system of customers and contacts for active and prospect accounts in CRM.
• Place outgoing calls to prospective and/or active customer database to arrange appointments and or introductions, follow up on orders, request/identify/collect/record potential needs, additional internal contacts and departments that could utilize our services.
• Consistently develop and maintain strong market data regarding product performance, new product requirements, competitive analysis, sales development, coating requirements, customer purchasing trends.
• Identify and participate in relevant sales conferences, associations.
• Work internally with management on strategic customer and new industry opportunities, sales strategies, escalation items.
• Maintain continuous learning through self study, sales meetings and training with staff.
• Active participation with quotes and timely follow-up.
• Exercise individual commercial and sales innovation in achieving customer service excellence while driving for internal changes to accommodate.
• Become an expert with regards to metallurgical coatings for industrial, commercial and consumer use applications.

Qualifications and Experience

• A technical degree or diploma in one of discipline- Metallurgical, Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience in a consultative sale, Industrial market development in main or related to - PVD (physical vapour deposition), CVD, metallurgical surface treatment, lubrication, tool- die or cutting tools manufacturing.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical requirements, mechanical drawings and concepts.
• Must be able to function technically within the manufacturing and tool & die industries such as stamping, die casting, cutting and injection molding.
• Ability to converse with Production, Engineering, Tool Designers and Tool room personnel.
• Strong proficiency developing segment/product/ market analysis, competitive intelligence, and sales forecasts.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Must be energetic, goal-oriented, and effective at planning and executing sales activities that drive sales.
• A sense of diplomacy and networking skills are essential to build relationships with external clients as well as key internal personnel.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Ability to travel during the day or with some overnight travel.
• Extremely articulate, both in written and verbal communications.
• Great interpersonal skills with the ability to be persuasive.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to read, react, and adapt your sales approaches, as necessary.
