We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide support for one of our teaming partners in Washington, DC. The work is mostly remote with occasional on-site presence required in Washington, DC.

Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead concurrent high priority projects or a single large project
  • Manage a project team, including personnel, cost, schedule, performance, quality, and risk
  • Assess customer requirements; analyze the architecture of business events and data that supports the architecture; evaluate possible solutions; and present recommendations
  • Manage systems analysis, design, development, installation, maintenance, and enhancement for mission-critical application systems for an assigned unit / area / or project
  • Develop project resource strategies, allocating budget, staff, tools, and specialized support necessary for cost-effective implementation and customer training
  • Provide positive and effective direction to project team members, and integrates activities with other business and IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts
  • Ensure that application systems are compliant with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices
  • Anticipate and identify issues inhibiting the attainment of project goals; develops and implements corrective actions as necessary
  • Foster and maintain positive rapport and good relationships with customers to ensure processes are integrated to support customer service level agreements
  • Facilitate a positive team environment
  • Ensure alignment of project framework to defined project and product managements standards

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in managing Information Technology related projects
  • Must have working knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Must be well versed in life cycle and project management methodologies
  • Must have experience in tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
  • Must be able to identify and mitigate risks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for collaborating with clients

Education/ Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration or related scientific/technical discipline
  • 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education

Work Authorization Requirements
