TITLE: UTILITIES & SOLID WASTE OFFICE MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITIES
LOCATION: WELLPINIT, WA
STATUS: REGULAR, FULL-TIME
RATE OF PAY:  $18.50 - $21.00 / PER HOUR
OPENING DATE: JUNE 22, 2022
CLOSING DATE: JULY 06, 2022


INTRODUCTION:
Must be able to work in a professional office environment. Core duties consist of customer service, customers/business’ billing, assisting the Utilities Manager on daily operations, and projects.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Answer phones, greet visitors/customers, and ascertain nature of business and direct inquirer to appropriate staff or programs.
• Serve as the program’s receptionist and the office administrator.
• Assist the Utilities Manger’s duties as assigned such as letters, reporting documents, grant proposals and other correspondence. Send and retrieve e-mails, faxing, coping and other related duties.
• Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, workshops, trainings, and telephone conferences for the program staff.
• Assist Utilities Manager with preparation of budgets.
• Prepare and mail Utilities Manager’s invoices to customers.
• Maintain the program’s records and filing system.
• Coordinate contractual affairs for the Utilities and Solid Waste Program.
• Dispatch and coordinate all equipment service work orders with Manager and laborers.
• Should be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Will perform other job duties as needed or required.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
• Able to type 55 wpm.
• Excellent public relation/customer service skills.
• Maintain strict confidentially.
• Must be able to efficiently perform fact finding and data gathering tasks.
• Must demonstrate working knowledge of PC’s as well as various software packages.
• Must be able to work with and communicate with I.H.S. and E.P.A. representatives.
• Must be able to work independently and efficiently
• Knowledge of budget processes
• Knowledge of invoicing
• Must be reliable and have a positive work history in regards to attendance
• Must be self motivated and able to work independently


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years related experience in office setting, or clerical position.
• Must have computer experience and be proficient with Excel, Outlook, Word
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
