Legal Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper Accountant

We are looking for an amazing (part-time/30 hours) Legal Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team and support our clients. This position is for individuals who love working in all areas of day-to-day bookkeeping with entrepreneurial clients in a variety of industries. You must have a highly collaborative and positive attitude with outstanding attention to detail and a love for numbers and bookkeeping!


  • • AP (entering and paying bills), AR (invoicing, recording income and deposits); Payroll (entering journal entries);
  • • In QBO, clearing bank feeds and reconciling bank, loan and credit card statements;
  • • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports; Perform month-end and year-end close;
  • • Reconciliations; Month end What it takes;
  • • QuickBooks and Excel Required;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; confirming case status with attorney.
  • Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with people involved in the case; scheduling depositions; preparing and forwarding summonses and subpoenas; drafting complaints; preparing and filing discovery requests; preparing responses to opposing counsel; generating status reports.
  • Keeps clients informed by maintaining contact; communicating case progress.
  • Maintains case costs by verifying outstanding balances with attorney, clients, and providers.
  • Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences; preparing pleadings; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses; organizing materials for team case review.
  • Enhances trial proceedings by organizing evidence; preparing exhibits; scheduling witnesses;
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Daily up keep of the office.
  • High attention to detail;
