In the Plant Manager role, you will oversee all operation functions and processes with a focus on achieving operational excellence. This includes creating a “company of owners” culture that focuses on quality and customer service, provides clear goals, delegates “ownership” of projects to individuals and teams, rewards creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, and celebrates success.
Site Leadership Team - lead execution of business plan by utilizing our unique culture to wow the customer. Ensure operations are both efficient and effective by fostering a culture of engaged employees and building a cohesive team that can rally others behind them. Develop and achieve tactical goals and objectives to meet the business plan while focusing on quality and continuous improvement to effectively reduces cost. Assist in the design and execution of supply chain strategies that maximize productivity, minimize risk, and effectively respond to fluctuations in demand. Lead the team to achieve outstanding financial results and align resources for overall effective organizational structure by developing resource plan to address gaps and meet business needs.
Market Leadership Team – Assist in establishing strategy vision by developing business objectives and understanding demands of business environment. Assist in defining future resource needs and overall effective organizational structure to support growth. Lead integration of the Web Way process into winning opportunities. Coordinate plant staff to win new opportunities that support our three markets; Aerospace, Medical, and Wire and Cable markets. Become “supplier of choice” for key accounts in these markets. Anticipate emerging problems at key accounts that provide opportunities for customer sponsorship of proprietary product development.
Operations Leadership - Define and benchmark the operational competencies to support market requirements. Partner with key company leaders to benchmark, develop and implement plans for continuous improvement in safety, training, design, technology, quality, information systems, procurement, asset management, manufacturing, and accounting.
Personnel Leadership. Recruitment, development, and nurturing of employees. Develop the leadership potential in others and improve performance through consistent feedback and coaching by utilizing Career Pathways standard work, succession planning and leadership development program.
Financial Leadership - Stewardship of financial resources to maximize profitability consistent with the values and principles . Manage the site budget and meet or exceed established expectations. Lead team in Business Planning process and meet established timelines by using standard work.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience in manufacturing where a high degree of qualification, documentation and regulation is required.
8-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
History of leading effective change and engaging employees through the process.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to material management.
Working knowledge of ISO standards and manufacturing practices such as GMP, BPR, FMEA, and Risk Assessment.
Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources.)
Experience in establishing Key Performing Indicators (KPI’s)
Knowledge of Converting and/or Extruding manufacturing or desire to learn.
Proficiency computer skills, ideally using Microsoft Office products, such as, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
